This service sheet covers the basics of setting up a Exmitter Ex7 R/C set for use on a Roundhouse classic or budget series engine.
With the antennae wire on the right hand side the receiver ports should read, top to bottom; AUX3/AUX2/AUX1/YAW/PITCH/ROLL/THRO.
The throttle servo should be plugged into the THRO port with the black wire on the left.
The directional servo should be plugged into the ROLL port with the black wire to the left.
If you are using the CH5 three way toggle switch plug for a whistle or dummy drain cocks plug these into the AUX1 port with the black wire to the left.
The battery/switch wire should be plugged into the AUX3 port with the black wire on the left.
Power up the transmitter and turn on the receiver. The transmitter and receiver may already be bound, if this is the case the receiver light will remain on and the servos will respond to the handset. If the transmitter and receiver are not already bound the light will flash steadily and the servos will not respond. To bind the receiver to the transmitter depress the button next to the antennae wire on the receiver. The light will flash faster and will eventually bind with the transmitter.
The two toggle switches on the top left hand shoulder of the handset must always be flicked upwards.
Ensure that the arrows representing trim position stay in the middle of the lines.
To adjust the throw of the directional servo you will need to alter the EPA settings of the ROLL channel. To do this, on the handset, push MENU and use the UP and DOWN buttons to navigate to EPA. Push MENU again and use the UP and DOWN buttons to navigate to the ROLL channel. Push MENU again to select the ROLL channel, move the directional stick in the relevant direction and use the UP/DOWN arrows to reduce or increase the percentage throw of the directional servo.
To reverse a channel push MENU and use the UP and DOWN buttons to navigate to REVERSE. Push MENU again and use the UP and DOWN buttons to navigate to the required channel. Push MENU again to select the required channel and use the UP and DOWN arrows to reverse the channel.
